Personal care in your home

Personal care is help with everyday activities in the home. Dedicated Home Services provides personal care for Health First Colorado (IHSS) members when it is authorized, and for private-pay clients, in six Denver-metro counties. Call (720) 591-0000.

What personal care can include

• Bathing and hygiene help
• Dressing
• Medication reminders (not administration, except when authorized under IHSS)
• Meal help and eating support as authorized
• Other activities of daily living listed on the plan or private-pay agreement

Payer source

Which personal-care tasks we can provide may be limited by your payer source. Health First Colorado IHSS authorizations and private-pay agreements are not the same. We will tell you what is in scope before services start. We do not set Medicaid hours or eligibility.

What this is not

We are a Class B non-medical agency. Personal care here is not skilled nursing, wound care, skilled lifting, or medication administration, except health maintenance when it is authorized under IHSS.
